All Dogs deliver angsty female fronted punk-indie, Reservations’ ‘To Be Honest’ is a neat introspective and folky track, Mammoth Penguins play cartoon indie-pop with a sinister edge, ‘True Love’ by Zooz is a quirky/slanted investigation into young love, Kagoule’s ‘Made of Concrete’ is excitingly polished alternative rock, Beach Boys inflected Leeds likely lads Trudy give us all there love, Girl Friend make it 2 in 2 with new banger ‘Poison’, Linear Labs featuring Vince Staples bring some invigorating alternative hip-hop our way, troubador Michael  Stasis reminds of Beck at his most dreamy, and Dutch Criminal Record make refreshingly simple indie rock with complicated guitar lines.

So we’ve got a new format for y’all- as often as possible we’re gonna scour the web for the best new releases and pop them in our very own playlist below. This way, you can get access to (what we think is) the best new music, with us schmucks doing all the leg-work!

CHVRCHES are back with a great slice of electro-indie-pop, fuzzed-out throb of the moment Day Wave impresses with ‘We Try but We Don’t Fit in’, Brisbane trio Major Leagues drop a perfect summer tune, Death in the Afternoon‘s ’82 is just the right side of Magic FM, Cryptotrips and Black Surf hit the target with some buzz-saw noise-rock, Say Yes Dog can get you dancing with the funky disco-inflected ‘Stronger’, Royal Headache, Jacuzzi Boys and Menace Beach keep the scuzzy indie flag flying, MOURN offer dark and stark PJ Harvey-esque sound from Barcelona and Run the Jewels  rework RTJ2 track ‘Early’ with cat noises….

Track of the Day: Jacuzzi Boys – ‘Happy Damage’; a trashy rolling ball of garage-rock fun, like if the guys from Jackass formed a band and it didn’t suck anywhere near as much as that sounds (plus its a free download!).
